break free

let me be free
tie not my spirit
with how I should be
just let me be free

let me sing
with the tinkling chimes
let me dance
with the gusty winds
let me cry
heartbroken in rain
and indulge in rhyme
pardon me, but
that’s how I feel alive

let me fight crime
let me forget time
let me be me
judge me if you like
but, set me free…

A free spirit on a swing is a great illustration to a poem whose narrator wants to be free to achieve her desires - poetry, peace. Beautiful feelings.
